This course is designed for beginners to join the fast moving industry of nails, the course will give you all the knowledge and practical skills to be able to start a business or work in salon.
Whilst completing this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of the following:
Level 2 Nail Services:
- Covid-19 Awareness (prerequisite qualification)
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Health & Safety
- Client Care
- Nail Products and Equipment
- Preparing and enhancing the nails and cuticles on the hands and feet using different techniques
- Develop interpersonal skills to assist you to communicate effectively with clients
- Manicure & Pedicure
- Nail Art
- Applying and maintaining nail enhancements to create a natural finish
Level 3 Nail Services
- Enhance and maintain nails using UV gel
- Enhance and maintain nails using liquid and powder
- Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
- Plan and create nail art designs
- Prepare and finish nail overlays using electric files
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities
- Plan and create nail art designs
- Develop a range of creative nail images
Duration: 16 weeks (1 Day a week)
Course times: 10-4pm
Pre-Req: Level 2 Beauty Therapy/Successful skills Test.
On completion of the course you will gain an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Nail Treatments, awarded by VTCT.
